The action follows the circulation of a post by the outlet claiming that India had “pleaded with the Trump administration” during an India–Pakistan conflict. The claim was later flagged as fake through fact-check visuals shared online.
The withholding comes amid heightened India–Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, during which Indian authorities intensified monitoring of misinformation and hostile digital narratives.
