Siwan, Bihar – Tensions erupted in a village in Bihar’s Siwan district as a Mahavir Jayanti procession was violently attacked by stone pelting on Hindus in Bihar, allegedly orchestrated by Islamic extremists who objected to the use of DJ music during the religious rally.
The Mahaviri Akhara procession, a traditional religious event carried out by Hindus during Mahavir Jayanti, turned chaotic when a group of men began hurling stones at the devotees participating in the event. Multiple people sustained injuries, including young children, as the crowd dispersed in fear.
Eyewitnesses claim that the assailants shouted provocative slogans and warned organizers that DJ music would not be tolerated in what they claimed was a Muslim majority area. The stone pelting on Hindus in Bihar has sparked outrage on social media, with videos of the incident going viral and demands for swift justice gaining momentum.
Deputy Mukhiya Allegedly Mastermind Behind Attack
In a shocking revelation, victims of the attack have alleged that Shikari Miya, the local Deputy Mukhiya (village council deputy head), was the mastermind behind the organized violence. Residents claim Shikari Miya used his influence to mobilize a group of radical elements to disrupt the peaceful Hindu religious event.
Speaking to reporters, one of the injured said, “We were simply celebrating our religious tradition. Suddenly stones came flying from rooftops. Women and children ran for their lives. This was planned. It was Shikari Miya who threatened us earlier.”
Law Enforcement Under Fire
Despite multiple complaints lodged by the victims, locals allege that police response was delayed and weak. Many believe the stone pelting on Hindus in Bihar is part of a larger pattern of appeasement politics and failure to act against radical elements.
BJP leaders and Hindu organizations have condemned the incident strongly, calling it a “direct attack on Sanatan Dharma.” VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) has announced protests if no arrests are made in the next 48 hours.
Communal Tensions on the Rise
This incident is not isolated. Over the past year, several processions including Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti rallies have faced similar hostility in parts of Bihar, Bengal, and Maharashtra. The pattern, according to analysts, shows rising Islamic radicalism in rural India aimed at disrupting Hindu religious freedom.
The stone pelting on Hindus in Bihar has triggered a wave of resentment across right-wing groups who say authorities are failing to protect the Hindu community even during their sacred festivals.
Political Silence Raises Eyebrows
While local administration remains tight lipped, prominent political leaders from the Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar have also remained silent, further angering the Hindu community.
Senior leaders from ruling parties have demanded a probe by central agencies and the immediate arrest of all culprits involved in the stone pelting on Hindus in Bihar.
