Is America Not Safe?: Indian American Beheaded in Dallas Motel by co-worker

A gruesome murder has shaken the Indian diaspora in the United States. 50 year old Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah, an Indian American, was brutally beheaded at a Dallas motel on Wednesday night. Reportedly identified as native of Karnataka. The attacker, identified as 37 year old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, allegedly used a machete to carry out the horrific act in front of Chandra’s wife and young son. Now, the accused is under arrest & charged with capital murder.

Witnesses reported spine chilling visuals from the crime scene, with Chandra’s severed head rolling onto the road. Such brutal violence raises alarming concerns over whether Is America not safe for immigrants, minorities, or even ordinary citizens going about their daily lives?.

This incident comes close on the heels of other violent tragedies in the United States. Just a day earlier, U.S. right-wing activist and Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk was killed, while weeks before that, Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska also fell victim to violent crime. Months earlier, another Indian man was shot dead by U.S. police under controversial circumstances. These repeated tragedies are fueling a growing debate: Is America not safe anymore?

They shot Trump. He raised his fist. Now they shot Charlie Kirk. He’s still standing. You can wound men, not a movement. https://t.co/xP8uz2T5vz

🚨 Charlotte Horror: Iryna Zarutska was brutally murdered in a fatal knife attack on a light-rail by career criminal DeCarlos Brown Jr — who Judge Teresa Stokes had released on just a written promise to return to court.

The shocking murder of Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah has particularly rattled the Indian community in Texas, who now fear for their safety. For many Indian Americans, the dream of a better life in the United States is being overshadowed by increasing violence and a visible collapse of law and order.

Even U.S. President Donald Trump was not spared from the rising tide of violence, surviving a bullet that grazed his ear during rally when he was campaigning for presidential election. With prominent figures and ordinary immigrants alike being targeted, it is becoming harder to ignore the reality that Is America not safe?.

Critics argue that despite America’s reputation as the land of opportunity, its streets are becoming more dangerous by the day. From mass shootings and police brutality to racially motivated attacks and violent crime, the pattern is clear. The brutal beheading in Dallas has reignited discussions about the government’s failure to protect citizens and immigrants alike.
